We hardly recognize the world these days. Nothing seems solid or real anymore. Common sense and age-old truths have been replaced by fluid thought and relativism. Christians are ridiculed and marginalized, as the culture around us crumbles.
But we’re not the first generation to experience this. In Jesus’ day, Christians were persecuted, tortured and even killed. And yet, after His death and resurrection, the church flourished as the early Christians, who were faithful to their God and to their calling, changed the course of history forever.
We believe this generation is called to have a similar impact, and that each and every Christian was created to have a specific role in this world. That is our “Why?”
Our mission is to help you, and every Christian, discover and develop the ministry you were created to do, and to encourage you to joyfully, actively, intentionally and boldly use your gifts—so that we, the Church, can collectively and resoundingly bring God’s hope, light and love to a hurting world.
What’s Our Takaway from the Third Most Viewed TED Talk Ever?
In this talk, Simon Sinek, explains the power of knowing and conveying our “Why?”
But this isn’t a new idea. Here’s what the Bible has to say about it:
…Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have… 1 Peter 3:15
Interesting how the how this message form God, given to us thousands of years ago, resonates with the world today. So, if even the world acknowledges the wisdom and power of having a ready answer to this question, how could this be a powerful tool for us? Like the Apostle Paul, we encourage you to always have a ready answer for your “Why?”
