Luke McClain / Leadership Contributor
Luke is on a mission to help leaders move forward in their development one step at a time. Some of his most treasured times in leadership have been sharing a cup of coffee and helping others to catch a vision for God’s design for their lives. He is a life colliding with Jesus, husband, father of 3 boys, coach, and a connector. He and his family love to dance and do fun activities together even if it involves making up a game. He is all about team culture and leadership development. He loves to write, tweet, and communicate his values of leadership, family, creativity, teams, and influence.
Rick Muchow / Worship Ministry Contributor
Worship Leader, Worship Coach & Songwriter, RickMuchow.com
After graduating from high school, Rick attended San Jose City College with a view toward majoring in music. Throughout these years God taught Rick a lesson: a music minister does not have to be in the spotlight to serve Christ. In 1979 he graduated from San Jose State University with a degree in music and began serving as the music and youth minister at Warm Springs Baptist Church in California. It was during his two years at Warm Springs that Rick received an assurance from God that his life’s purpose was to be a full time music minister. From Warm Springs, Rick traveled to Gilroy, California, where he went on staff as music minister at the First Baptist Church under the leadership of senior pastor Dr. Thurman George. After 4 1/2 years, Rick left First Baptist Church to tour America in concert. In September 1987, Rick joined the staff of Saddleback Church. Under Rick’s leadership, more than 1000 volunteers were involved in Saddleback’s worship ministry. Rick left his staff position at Saddleback Church March 2012 and since has been leading worship, coaching leaders, writing articles and worship songs. Rick has helped train over 150,000 church leaders and continues to equip and encourage local church worship teams, pastors and worship leaders around the world.

James Wasem / Tech Ministry Contributor
Sound Engineer & Author, GreatChurchSound.com

James has spent the last 20 years performing and touring in “bands as a drummer, mixing live sound for churches, schools and theatres, and working as an audio systems installer and designer. Though involved in highly technical fields, James has a passion for making things simple to understand and easy to use. It was from this passion that the book Great Church Sound – a guide for the volunteer was born. James believes that technical ministry volunteers provide a critical service for their congregations and should be well equipped with quality tools to help them grow in craft, skill, and spirit. James and his wife Kate (who also provided the illustrations for Great Church Sound) live in the beautiful Rocky Mountains of Missoula, Montana.
